off to Melaka

Well this should be fun i thought as we woke up all packed and ready to go to Melaka. If you don't know melaka is Malaysia's third smallest state but if you read my blog you will know that i am more about the experience of the place then all the facts that's what wikipeidea is for. So where was i ah yes nivas aunt picked us up and off we went to the bus station but on the way we got lost a few course corrections later and we were there. aunty quan (nivas aunt) made sure we got the buss on time. On the bus i did my really good trick of passing out cold so i cant tell you how good the everything looked on the way. We reached malaka town or the bus station on the outskirts of it and onec again got an over priced taxi to the hostel. OK i will continue about malaka in a min i just want to take some time to warn you all about going to malaysia and there taxis. For every one good taxi driver in malaysia there are 100 ripoff scum sucking lowlife Aholes and the don't just rip off foreigners they ripoff everyone locals included my advice to you is find out off some one how much a taxi should coast to where your going and keep flaging them in till you get the right fair or if you are very lucky you will find a taxi coupon counter and they will give you a fair price. Back to the story we arrived at our hostel "Ringos guest house" by no means was it the Ritz but it had everything you could want and the manager (Howard) was a really nice guy. they had the fridge full of beer at a discount price for Malaysia and it was nice and clean i would recommend it to any one.

After we got settled in Howard told us we should have a look around the town and then later that night he would take us to the big food court. I am one of those people who's always waiting for the catch but with this guy there was none we went off looked around this little idyllic town and it was really amazing the rickshaws were the brightest loudest most colourfully i have ever seen after a few hours of walking back to the hostel where we chilled out for a bit. About 8 oclock Howard got everyone together there was me Stacy niva an old German backpacker a Scots man his girlfriend and there slightly hippyish older female friend. True to his word Howard took us to a very big food hall with hawkers and food stalls i tryed a few local foods and loads of others as well. On the way back we all stoped for a few beers then every one left and it was just me and the Scots man left drinking and chatting. I have to say malaka is amazing at night. i loved it my next post will be the following two days

The start of the adventure

stacy on the couch
Well lets start from the start and il try be as accurate as i can lol. I land in kl airport with a scene of nervousness, giddiness and a whole lot of fear. I collect my bags and head for the exit on the way chatting to strangers and doing my usual nervous shit. When i reach arrivals i can see a big smile on the face of niva all of a sudden my worries disappeared and i am over whelmed by feelings of happiness after a lot of hugging and kissing a lot more then what i think is accepted in a Muslim country we headed for the apartment in kl. On entry Stacy is on the couch reading and all hellos are said and i felt so welcome in this lovely apartment. luckily the girls had the foresight to buy me a couple of beers that were in the fridge nice and cold. To be honest i must have not shut up talking the whole night but it just felt great to be back with friends and the women i am in love with.

Next day was all go and it was time to see a bit of kl nivas aunt brought us for food and then it was time to see Time Square. Wow is all i can say about this mall it was huge and it had its own theam park in side what more could you want. We think we are great back home but it makes our shopping centers look like the local 7/11. when we got back had a few beers and loads of chocolate that i brought from home the good stuff not like the stuff in kl it is not good.
Next day and it all go i am told of whats been planed for us such as traveling to Malacca and then to Singapore where we will spend xmas then back to kl i am going to be busy by the looks of things.
Well i didn't get to see the twin towers in Malaysia this time but we will be back and i am sure we will get a chance then and get to the highlands amusement park to go on roller coasters and stuff. But for now i am happy with di nina that's the restaurant next door to the apartment were the do torisa masala and loads of good Indian food and its really really cheap. kl is a cool city and its another big culture shock for me but i am enjoying it a lot. So my next entry should be about Malacca.
